SEEKING AFTER GOD
Topic: 2 Chronicles 31:20-21
King Hezekiah of Judah served the Lord faithfully. He intentionally pursued righteous living for most of his life. He sought God devotedly, and the Lord allowed him to prosper.

Our Father wants us intimately connected with Him, like a child whose relationship with his parent is marked by deep, mutual love. Seeking after God is characterized by several traits:

Believers who seek God should approach Him wholeheartedly. When we read Scripture or pray with a distracted mind, we have a divided heart. God desires our full attention. He wants us to keep Him in first place. Jeremiah 29:13 points to the importance of giving the Lord priority above everything else.

Christians should also diligently seek God. Our attitude should include a sense of devotion to God and careful attention to His will. This requires a steady effort to understand how God operates and what He wants us to do.

In addition to diligence, believers should approach God with persistence. Psalm 42:1 says seeking the Lord should be a continual, sustained effort toward deeper intimacy and involvement in His work.

We should be confident in seeking God. Our heavenly Father wants us to know Him. And He desires the best for us. Proverbs 3:5 says that trust is an essential component of confidence.

Finally, it's important to approach the Lord with a humble spirit. We're totally dependent on God for everything in life. Scripture tells us in Isaiah 66:2 that He's pleased when we approach Him humbly.

When our hearts desire for God, He delights in revealing Himself and pouring out blessings (Hebrews 11:6). Make an honest assessment of how sincerely you're seeking after Him.

IGNORING GOD
Topic: Matthew 13:13-14
Most of us don't like being ignored. We feel frustrated when we're disregarded, whether by sales clerks, authority figures, or loved ones. We may want their attention, but their focus is somewhere else.

Psalm 139:13 says God formed each of us in our mother's womb and gave us life, breath, and everything we own. He deserves our attention. Sadly, a majority of the world ignores Him. They refuse to acknowledge their rebellion against God. And they reject His Son Jesus as Savior. God's authority is ignored and replaced by their selfish intentions. Those who reject Christ's offer of salvation remain under God's judgment and face an eternity without Him.

Even Christians don't always give God the attention He deserves. Like little children, believers can be easily sidetracked by worldly pleasures and distractions. Some of us ignore God by failing to make it a priority to learn what pleases Him. Others know what He wants but choose to pursue their own desires. At times, we forget we're children of God and act like the world around us. Our preferences always fight for full attention. But believers have a clear choice to ignore God or ignore self.

The Lord expects us to give Him our full attention. When our minds focus on God, life revolves around discovering Him and becoming more like Him. How much do you focus on God and what pleases Him?

BACK TO BASICS: OUR TREASURE
Topic: Luke 5:27-28
Dividends, interest earned, an interest-bearing account, money market, diversified funds, and IRA's--all describe some aspect of financial investing.

However, Levi the tax collector was not thinking of worldly investments the day he made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. Until that point he was a hated man mainly because he extracted taxes from the Jews and was paid handsomely by the Roman government.

However, no financial gain compared to the awesome provision that was his in Christ. Luke 5:28 says that after Jesus said to Levi, "Follow Me," the tax collector "left everything behind, and got up and began to follow Him."

Jesus changed Levi's name to Matthew, which means gift of God. It was at this point that Matthew realized the value of true wealth. Material or financial gains were not the answer to the problems he faced. Eternal life and unconditional love were the answers to His deepest needs, and these could only be found in the person of Jesus Christ.

When it comes to finances, many advisers say, "keep a long-term perspective." Matthew certainly understood this principle. His decision was not only the wisest long-term investment, it also yielded the greatest return.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ENEMY
Topic: Ephesians 6:12
How does our Enemy operate? There are four primary objectives in interrupting God's work in our lives.

First, Satan wants us to doubt God's Word. If he can get you doubting just a little bit, then he's secured a foothold in your life. In Genesis 3:1, this is how he confronted Eve in the Garden. The serpent planted a seed of doubt in her mind. And the results were catastrophic for all mankind!

Second, Satan tries to distract us from spiritual matters. He wants us focused on earthly, temporary outlets. It sometimes seems as if the Enemy uses every television, cell phone, and computer to change our focus from the Word to things with no eternal value.

Third, the enemy works to disable us from the Lord's service. Satan will do anything to prevent you from making an impact for Christ. Think about all the popular Christian leaders who have fallen away. Their sinful deeds were made public. And the spiritual work they had done was discredited. The Devil rejoices at this and considers it a great success.

Fourth, Satan wants to destroy us physically. One of his most effective tactics involves attacking our bodies. Sickness, addictions, stress, and obesity can consume a person's entire life. The Devil would much prefer that you focus on your body, not spiritual things.

Satan wants you to be useless in your daily battles. He's looking for ways to destroy you. But don't let him! Keep your spiritual eyes open. Watch for the Enemy's skillful, devious attacks. And most importantly, depend on God's Spirit.

HEAVEN-BOUND

As Christians, we're looking forward to our Heavenly home and eternal bodies. But we still have questions about life in Heaven.

For example, we wonder whether earthly marriages and families will exist in Heaven. Based on Matthew 22:23-30, Dr. Stanley doesn't believe there will be family affiliations as we know them in this life. Our capacity to relate to other believers in Heaven will far surpass what we experience here on earth. In their new form, these relationships will be more satisfying and fulfilling. There will be no sin nature to tarnish them.

We also wonder about what we'll do there. Worship of God will continue. But it will be richer, deeper, and backed up by an angelic chorus. We'll experience times of fellowship with Jesus and each other in perfect unity. There will be no angry words, misunderstandings, or disagreements to damage our relationships. Revelation 22:3 says serving God will also be part of our Heavenly lives.

The most important question about Heaven is, How do I get there? Contrary to popular opinion, entrance isn't based on good works, high morals, church attendance, baptism, or membership in the "right" denomination. It centers on the person of Jesus Christ. If we acknowledge we're sinners separated from God, receive Jesus' sacrificial death as payment for our rebellion, and trust Him as Savior and Lord, we instantly become a child of God. Then, a place in Heaven is reserved for us. Are you sure you're Heaven-bound?

LIFE IN OUR HEAVENLY HOME
Topic: Philippians 3:20-21
Over the years, people have tried to picture what Heaven will be like. Scripture answers some important questions about the believer's future life.

First, who will be there? The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit will be present. Revelation 5:11 says thousands upon thousands of angels will be there as well. All the Old Testament saints, all believers from this church age, and every person who comes to faith during the great tribulation are promised a Heavenly home.

Second, we may ask how we'll be physically different. We'll have glorified bodies that conform to Jesus' glory. Following the resurrection, He had a visible physical form. We, too, will have a physical body to dwell in a real place called Heaven. First Corinthians 15:42 tells us our bodies will be eternal and will bear a Heavenly image. While the Bible doesn't describe the glorification process, we know our bodies will transform perfectly to suit the Heavenly environment.

Finally, some believers wonder if they'll be able to recognize family and friends in Heaven. Our bodies may be different, but they'll still be identifiable. John chapter 20 tells us how Mary was initially confused but later recognized the resurrected Jesus. Because we'll be like Him, others will know us in our resurrected form. And we'll know them too.

Think about the promises of Revelation 7:9. Believers from every tribe, language, nation, and people group will be there. When we're in our glorified bodies, life in Heaven will exceed our wildest imaginations.

A REAL ENEMY
Topic: 1 Peter 5:8-9
One of the most damaging, erroneous images in our popular culture is the cartoonish picture of a little devil. He's dressed in a red body suit with a pointy tail and holding a pitchfork. Sadly, that's the image many people have of their spiritual enemy. But this cute little caricature couldn't be farther from the truth.

If we want to be victorious in our Christian lives, then we must clearly identify our enemy. And Scripture is clear the enemy isn't a single little demon but an entire union of evil spirits.

Jesus cast out demons many times in the Gospels. Over and over again, we read about Him and His disciples speaking with authority over multiple evil spirits. Why do we read these accounts and praise God for His demonstrations of power, but forget those demonic forces are still active today?

You may believe only in what you can see. If that's true, then you're in serious trouble. Satan works best undercover. If you see a beast racing to attack you, then you'll quickly run away. But the enemy's tactics are different. He hides and hits you slowly and subtly, in such a way that you can't really see or identify him. Then, he can lead you wherever he wants.

Do you take your spiritual opposition seriously? You have a wild animal prowling around you every day, waiting to devour you. Can you see it? Open your eyes to your real enemy today.

OUR HEAVENLY HOME
Topic: Revelation 21:22-22:6
Movies sometimes include scenes of people coming home. Delighted to return, they rush through the front door to enter familiar surroundings. The vision the apostle John described in Revelation includes glimpses inside our future home, New Jerusalem. In this new place, some things from our old home will be missing. But their replacements will be infinitely better.

John told us he didn't see any church buildings. In Revelation 21:22, he says, "for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple." God's family will no longer be divided by denominations. The apostle also reported there will be neither sun nor moon to shine upon the city. Revelation 21:23 says, "For the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb." We won't need electricity, flashlights, or candles. Also, the gates of the city will always be open. Locks will be unnecessary in our Heavenly home. No impurities will enter that future residence. Sin is banished, and only holiness dwells there. Death and decay will be absent. Neither nature nor mankind will ever suffer again. The righteous life in Christ will be a perfect reality, as pain and suffering cease to exist.

At the center of the holy city are the throne of Almighty God and the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Everyone who received the gift of eternal life through Christ's sacrifice will be present. Next time someone asks where you live, tell them you have two homes. The one you live in now and a future one from your loving Heavenly Father.

HEAVEN: HEADING HOME
Topic: Revelation 21:9-21
After a tiring day, many of us long to go home and take a rest from our daily activities. The more we imagine the place in our minds, the stronger our desire grows to be there. As Christians, we have a Heavenly home which we have yet to see. The apostle John's vision, as described in the book of Revelation, gives us some important information to help believers picture their future home.

New Jerusalem is the Heavenly city where we'll live. John praised its incredible beauty. He compared its attractiveness to a decorated bride on her wedding day. Think of the attention to detail that implies, all done for you and me.

John also said our new home will radiate with God's glory. He used the imagery of a very precious jewel to convey the brilliance of the Lord's majesty shining from the city. Imagine the sparkling effect of the sun shining full-strength on a large, flawless diamond.

The Bible also says our new home will be 1,500 miles long, 1,500 miles wide, and 1,500 miles high. That's large enough to accommodate every believer. A high wall will be set on 12 foundations with 12 gates. Scripture compares the building materials to the most precious stones and metals. Our Savior is preparing a place of great beauty just for us (John 14:2-3).

Fix an image of John's description in your mind. Then, in life's disappointing moments, remember you have a "real" home in Heaven. It's a place where the beauty of God's glory is visible everywhere.

BACK TO BASICS: OUR THOUGHTS
Topic: 1 Corinthians 2:16

This may come as a surprise to some, but the apostle Paul writes that we have the mind of Christ within us. This does not mean that we are like God in the omnipotent sense. We have a finite ability when it comes to mental perception. God is infinite in His ability and knows all things. He is omniscient.

However, we are His children. We belong to His family, and we have the ability to think on the things of God. But Satan does not enjoy taking a backseat, especially in the area of our thoughts. He knows if he can get our minds focused on negative, self-defeating, and impure thoughts, then most of the battle for our minds will be fought and won by him.

Learn to say no to his foolishness and demeaning suggestions by giving God full control of your thought life. You can reprogram your thoughts with His truth when you:

* Acknowledge that you have the capacity to think correctly. (1 Corinthians 2:16)

*  Seek spiritual issues instead of focusing on negative suggestions. (Colossians 3:1-2)

* Sift thoughts through God's grid--His Word and will for your life. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

* Choose to refuse dark, negative thoughts that do not edify Christ's presence in your life.

* Renew your mind by feasting on the Word of God. (Colossians 3:16)

TELLING IT LIKE IT IS
Topic: John 9:13 -25
The blind man willingly answered questions about his healing, no matter who asked. As a result, he received many different responses.

Neighbors argued over the truth of his story. They demanded to know how he received sight. The man honestly explained what happened. He said a man named Jesus gave him some instructions. When he obeyed, he was healed. The neighbors couldn't deny what had happened. But they had trouble accepting his story because they couldn't understand it. Today, the world still does the same thing. What they can't explain, they try to deny.

The Pharisees also questioned how the blind man could see. In John 9:15, the man said, "He applied clay to my eyes, and I washed, and I see." These leaders refused to believe him because they didn't want to accept Jesus. They questioned the man a second time. And he simply repeated his testimony. He said, "I was blind, now I see" (John 9:25). They rejected his words again, refusing to change their beliefs. In the same way, some people reject God's truth and cling to their own interpretation of the facts.

The blind man's parents backed down when they were confronted by the Pharisees. They were afraid of the authorities, so they refused to tell the truth. Fear of someone's reaction can keep us from speaking about our transformed life.

Next time you have an opportunity to talk about the Lord, share something that's changed since you met Him. Tell of how you once were blind, but now you see.

TELLING YOUR STORY
Topic: John 9:1-7
The Lord uses a believer's personal testimony in powerful ways. As we explain how God rescued and changed us, the Holy Spirit makes others more interested in spiritual matters. He uses our words to help them seek Christ as their Savior.

The ninth chapter of John teaches us about a blind man the Lord healed. Many people questioned how he received his sight. To each one, the blind man told the facts. He said, "The man who is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, 'Go to Siloam and wash'; so I went away and washed, and I received sight."

When we obey Jesus' commands, people will notice there is something different about us. Perhaps they'll be curious about our ability to remain patient or calm in the face of adversity. They may ask why we've given up popular activities or avoid certain places. We can respond as simply as the blind man did. We may say, "I was spiritually blind and separated from God by sin. Jesus Christ, our Savior, died on the cross to pay for my sins. Through faith in Him, I know I have been forgiven and made part of God's family. That's why I'm not the same."

We don't have to know the answers to every question in order to talk about Jesus. We only need to tell others what has happened to us personally. Take the time to write out your testimony in a few sentences. Be sure you can relate the story briefly and clearly. Then, look for an opportunity to tell someone about God's work in your life.

THE TOOLS OF SANCTIFICATION
Topic: 1 Thessalonians 5:23 - 34
Through sanctification, God conforms believers to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. In Scripture, the writers use images that describe how the Lord shapes the lives of His children. Isaiah 64:8 portrays Him as a potter. The verse says, "We are the clay and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand." Like a potter, God uses tools to perfect His creations.

The Bible is one tool the Lord uses. According to Psalm 119:105, Scripture functions as "a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." The Holy Spirit illuminates the verses so we, in turn, can come under conviction and grow in our faith.

God also uses the church as a tool to mold believers. Pastors and teachers minister the truth about the ways of God. Also, in Hebrews 10:25, God calls His children to fellowship together. He wants believers to encourage and uplift each other during the sanctification process. Church provides the opportunity for fellow Christians to encourage each other and hold one another accountable.

Suffering is another tool God uses for our good. A suffering believer runs directly to the heavenly Father for comfort and aid. God freely offers us comfort and help. But He also uses our painful circumstances to shape us even more. When we submit to His work, we exit our suffering by looking more Christlike than ever

God's transforming work goes on all the time. If we wish to glorify our Lord by faithfully reflecting Him, we must yield to His sanctification tools.

SANCTIFICATION: THE PROCESS
Topic: 2 Timothy 2:19 -21
Imagine walking into a room and noticing two ceramic vessels. One is a gracefully curved gold pitcher. The other is a plain pot. Which would catch your eye and draw you in for a closer look?

In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul used this metaphor to explain how some Christians honor the Lord with their life and service. Others bring shame to the Gospel through selfish living. Scripture commonly uses the vessel image because believers should be "filled with" the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 says the Holy Spirit trains us in righteousness and strengthens us in suffering. His work begins on the inside, where He adjusts our thinking to align with God's Word. Our beliefs affect our actions. The Lord wants our behavior to conform to the perceptions the Holy Spirit places on our spirit.

If a person cooperates with the Lord in removing ungodly actions and attitudes, then he becomes a "vessel of honor." He can be used for God's kingdom. As believers, our responsibility in the sanctification process is to work with God to eliminate sin from our lives.

The believer's job is to deal with sin. We must flee from it, or confess and repent when necessary. When we're vigilant about keeping a sinless life, then the Holy Spirit can work to mature our faith. This makes us golden vessels who pour God's love upon the world.

A LIFETIME OF HOLINESS
Topic: Romans 12:1-3
A new believer is sanctified when he places his faith in Jesus Christ. He's set apart for God's purpose. Salvation takes place in a single moment, but sanctification is a lifetime process. Those who trust Christ as Savior and allow the Spirit to control their lives are being sanctified. It doesn't matter what we may feel or how our actions appear to others. We are progressively maturing in our faith.

If we're growing, we must be working our way toward something. In Romans 8:29, the apostle Paul explained the Christian's mission. He said, "For those whom [God] foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son." The believer's character, conduct, and conversation should reflect Christ. On our own, we'd place too much emphasis on conduct. We'd get caught up following rules and rituals that look "Christian" yet don't truly reflect Christ. But God has given each believer His Spirit as a teacher and guide. The Holy Spirit transforms our minds and hearts so our character is much different than unbelievers'. Only when we're under the Spirit's control can we speak and act according to our true identity as God's children.

Our heavenly Father wants His children to be living examples of Him. God doesn't expect perfection from us. He knows we can not be totally sinless in our human body. Instead, He shows us how to think and act. That way, you and I can live the command of Ephesians 4:1: to "walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called."

JESUS IS WITH US
"At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus" (John 20:14).

Mary of Magdala was one of the women who found that the tomb was empty after Jesus had risen from the dead. John tenderly records the story of her crying outside the tomb. Angels speak to her then she turns to see a man she assumes is the gardener.

Jesus was right there, "but she did not realize that it was Jesus."

Later, after Jesus had made a number of appearances to the disciples, John tells of a time, when Peter decided to go fishing. Thomas, Nathanael, James, John and two other disciples went with him. They fished all night without catching a thing.

"Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus" (John 21:4).

The words that John repeated in these two stories caught in my mind. How often, I wonder, is Jesus with us -- right beside us or calling to us from the shore-- but we don't realize that it is Him?

Through the Holy Spirit, God is always with us. Constantly, the Holy Spirit is teaching us, reminding us of the things that Jesus said, counseling and comforting us.

We, in turn, need to train ourselves to recognize His voice and pray that God will open our eyes that we may see and understand.

When Jesus called her name, Mary knew that it was Him. (John 20:16)

When the fishermen's nets were filled with a miraculous catch of fish after following Jesus' instructions, they knew that it was Him. (John 21:7)

Jesus is with you. He is calling your name.

The promise that Jesus made his disciples extends to us, "And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

~Thank You for Your presence in my life Jesus; help me to realize You are always with me.

REMEMBER
Beth purchased the chocolate bunnies and headed to the car. Company was coming and she still needed to get groceries and clean. She made a mental note to get extra eggs for the kids to color.

It was Easter. They wouldn't likely get to church. Her mental check list went on. She knew she was too busy yet she did try to squeeze God in where she could.

I'm sure God knew how easy it would be for us to do just that. He actually provides a regular reminder for us. He calls us to take part in Communion and with good reason.

"Do this in remembrance of me. For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes" (1 Corinthians 11:26).

In the business of "doing life" we often forget just what is actually proclaimed by Jesus' death and His resurrection. It can so easily slip to the background of life and we can find ourselves living in dryness of soul, with divided hearts and sometimes with powerless, defeated lives.

Jesus knows us better than we know ourselves. That's why He calls us to regularly remember Him; to keep proclaiming, in our individual lives, the truth of what His death on the cross means to us each day. Proclaim it out loud... right now...

I proclaim I am forgiven! (Thank You, Lord! You alone know how I need You.)

I proclaim I am loved! (Thank You, Lord that Your love is unconditional.)

I proclaim I am cleansed! (Thank You, Lord that my past is now behind me.)

I proclaim that by His grace I have all that I need! (Thank You, Lord for Your grace and mercy to help me in my time of need!)

Do you believe it? The very same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is the same power that will be at work in your life as you believe and proclaim these truths. Welcome the celebration at the Communion table this Easter. Have your heart refreshed with forgiveness and wholeness, as you believe the truth of what God says about you, His child.

Amaze my heart today with the truth of these proclamations. Thank You for the hope Easter revives in my heart! Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and let Your resurrection power flow in new ways in my life. Help me to remember the power, in Your death and resurrection that is mine every day. Help me to grow into all You have planned for me to be and to do. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

CHRIST HAS RISEN INDEED!
"God has chosen to make known... the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:17).

When we lived in Austria, I loved the tolling of the bells from the church tower near our home. Different bells for different occasions. They summoned us to come to church. In it's beautiful interior, the pipe organ music lifted our hearts to God in worship. But there was one day of the year when the bells were silent. The organ did not play. It was Good Friday.

I would shiver in my pew as I listened to the mournful sound of an instrument we called a ratsche. It's grating noise called forth the terrible suffering and death of Christ. I visualized Jesus hanging on a Roman cross, wrapped in burial cloths, buried in a tomb. It always filled my heart with great sadness and my eyes with tears. To think Jesus suffered that much for me!

But on Easter Sunday morning all the bells rang out. Joyous soprano, alto, and bass notes bounced off the greening country side. They skipped around my heart, awaking a joyous refrain: Christ has risen from the dead. Hallelujah! "Come and see," the bells seemed to be saying as I hurried toward the church. There the pipe organ joined in the triumphant chorus.

The message of the bells has stayed with me throughout the years. When life has defeated me and all I hear are the mournful, grating sounds of a ratsche, I remember that Easter is just around the corner. Christ has risen indeed. And if the risen, living Christ is within me, I have the power to overcome. I, too, can rise above my circumstances, not in my own power and ingenuity, but in Christ's.

What is your life like right now? What sounds are you hearing? If you're feeling down then please pray the following prayer:  Father, thank You that I need not live in defeat. In Christ's power I can rise above my faults and failures, above the adversities of life, above destructive habits. I surrender myself to You now. I invite You to live Your life in me. Amen.

IT IS FINISHED!
"When he had received the drink, Jesus said, 'It is finished.' With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit" (John 19:30).

One Easter Sunday service, my friend was intrigued with the large wooden cross covered in red squares of paper standing beside the altar. I explained how on Good Friday service our pastor had spoken about Jesus' last words from the cross: It is finished.

"What did Jesus finish for you?" he had asked his congregation. "On the red square inside your bulletin, write out what Jesus finished for you personally, then come to the front and pin your paper to the cross here," he'd said pointing to a rough wooden cross sprawled across the steps to the altar.

"What did you write?" my friend asked.

"Condemnation."

She looked puzzled.

"For most of my life I've felt like no matter how hard I try, I'm not measuring up," I said. "I think it had something to do with being the oldest in the family."

"I'm not clear about the meaning of condemnation, she said. "Does it mean something like a curse?"

Startled, I looked into my friend's earnest face. I hadn't thought of it like that before, but yes, feelings of inferiority had trailed me all my life. This sense of failure is like a burden of guilt that keeps you from moving ahead. It keeps you from believing in yourself. It prevents you from realizing God's best for you.

"And did it help-- going to the front?"

I nodded. "It was like driving a truth home to myself," I said. "The fact that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Now when self-doubt and self-condemnation raise their ugly heads, I will silence my fears with, 'Never mind, Jesus put an end to that. God believes in me. He has called me and accepted me. In Christ I have a new identity.'"

My friend was silent for a moment. Then she shared with me a personal need in which she wanted closure. "That's what I would have written on the paper and pinned on the cross," she said.

What would you have written on the red square of paper? In what area do you want closure? Can you hear Jesus saying to you, "It is finished. I paid for that in full? Now go in your new identity."

~Dear Jesus, I want to be made new in my deepest heart. Set me free from old thought patterns and help me to replace them with Your truths. Thank You for paying for my debt in full. Thank You for offering me a new life--Your resurrection life. I accept it with gratitude.

DESTINY OF A DIVINE NATURE THROUGH GRACE IS UPON YOU NOW

YOUR DESTINY IS HIS IDEA AND IT WILL BE FULFILLED

There is a desire encoded in each of us when we are created unto a destiny in God--it's one of a divine nature. Depending on our life experiences, we get in touch with this desire in vastly different ways, but, as Scripture notes, the blueprints are within us.

As it was in the Beginning, as it was in Your Heart from the Very Beginning, Your perfect design...so let it be in This Day.

"My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them." Psalm 139:15-16

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5

Jeremiah was no exception. Each one of us has a destiny of a divine nature that is wrapped up in God and binds us to Him, enabling us to walk it out as we pursue union with Him. He wove it into our DNA as He formed us, even before we were in our mother's womb.

His Amazing Grace for Our Destiny

Yes, we have heard it spoken many times from the pulpit, but has it really sunk in that we are born for greatness in God or we would not be on the earth at this time? He would not have covered us with His amazing grace if it were not so. If He had not done that, we would be lost as a goose--every one of us.

"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind but now I see."

As we step into our destiny, we do it with this knowledge deeply imbedded in us--that but for grace, we would surely perish along the way. That is why this destiny we move into is of a divine nature. It will take the grace of His divine attributes to carry us into and through the process of seeing it accomplished to become overcomers in the end.

"Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of 'Grace, grace to it!'" Zechariah 4:7

"Thus says the Lord: 'The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness--Israel, when I went to give him rest.'" Jeremiah 31:2

"And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage." Ezra 9:8
